Editorial Decision-Making Process At GPEL, we uphold a rigorous, ethical, and transparent editorial process that ensures the publication of high-quality, peer-reviewed educational research.
1. Initial Submission Screening

Preliminary Check: Screening for formatting, author declarations, and a 15% similarity threshold via Turnitin.

Scope Review: The Editor-in-Chief determines if the manuscript contributes original insight into pedagogy or learning sciences.
2. Peer Review Process

Reviewer Assignment: Double-blind review by two or more independent experts.

Criteria: Focus on theoretical foundation, pedagogical research design, and ethical standards.

Recommendations: Accept, Minor Revisions, Major Revisions, or Reject.
3. Editorial Evaluation and Final Decision

Consolidation: The editor synthesizes feedback; a third reviewer is used in case of disagreement.

Final Decision: The Editor-in-Chief issues the final decision (Accept, Minor/Major Revisions, Reject).
4. Revisions and Resubmission
