Author Appeals Policy

At GPEL, we are committed to a fair and transparent editorial process. We acknowledge that authors may occasionally wish to contest decisions regarding educational research.

1. Grounds for Appeal

  • Misinterpretation of pedagogical methodology or learning data.

  • Factual inaccuracies in reviewer feedback.

  • Evidence of procedural errors or reviewer bias.

2. Submission

  • Timeframe: Within 20 calendar days of the decision.

  • Format: Formal written letter to the Editor-in-Chief including clear justifications and supporting evidence.

3. Review Process

  • The Editor-in-Chief conducts an initial assessment.

  • If needed, the manuscript is sent to a neutral editorial board member or an independent reviewer.

  • Final Decision: Uphold rejection, invite resubmission, or accept.

4. Limitations: Only one appeal per manuscript is permitted. Appeals with an aggressive tone will be dismissed.

5. Ethical Considerations: Concerns regarding reviewer bias are referred to the Ethics Committee in accordance with COPE guidelines.
