Author Appeals Policy

At KIKKR, we are committed to upholding the integrity of regional research through a fair and impartial appeals process for multidisciplinary studies.

1. Grounds for Appeal

  • Misinterpretation of regional socio-economic context, cultural nuances, or innovation data.

  • Reviewer feedback containing factual inaccuracies that impacted the editorial outcome.

  • Evidence of bias or procedural errors in the evaluation of regional knowledge.

2. Submission

  • Timeframe: Within 20 calendar days of notification.

  • Format: Formal written appeal to the Editor-in-Chief with specific references to the disputed comments.

3. Review Process

  • Initial assessment by the Editor-in-Chief.

  • Consultation with a neutral board member familiar with the regional context if needed.

4. Ethical Oversight: Appeals citing cultural bias are referred to the Ethics Committee for a formal investigation.
