Author Appeals Policy

ECRL values technical precision and provides this policy to address concerns regarding the evaluation of engineering and computing research.

1. Grounds for Appeal

  • Technical misjudgments concerning engineering design, software validity, or data integrity.

  • Factual errors in reviewer feedback regarding industry standards or technical proofs.

  • Evidence of procedural errors or reviewer bias in specialized computing fields.

2. Submission

  • Appeals must be submitted within 20 days, accompanied by technical evidence or additional data clarifications.

3. Review Process

  • Initial assessment by the Editor-in-Chief.

  • Technical claims may be referred to an independent technical reviewer with no prior involvement in the submission.

4. Finality: All appeals must maintain a professional tone. The decision of the appeals panel is final.
