2. Initial Screening and Plagiarism Check Screening confirms the manuscript fits the scope of arts/linguistics and passes the <15% plagiarism threshold.
3. Assignment to Section Editor An editor with expertise in the specific sub-field (e.g., Phonetics or Art History) assesses the theoretical contribution and originality.
4. Double-Blind Peer Review Two anonymous experts review the manuscript for coherence of argument, methodology, and ethical rigor.
5. Reviewer Recommendations Standard options: Accept, Minor/Major Revisions, or Reject.
6. Editorial Decision Decisions are communicated to authors along with detailed feedback for improvement.
7. Author Revisions Revised manuscripts are evaluated to ensure all reviewer concerns have been addressed.
8. Final Acceptance Official acceptance is granted upon full editorial satisfaction.
9. Copyediting and Proofreading Manuscripts are refined for grammar and consistency with ALP style guides.
10. Online Publication Finalized articles are published online under open-access policies.
11. Post-Publication Dissemination ALP utilizes disciplinary networks and academic databases to increase the reach of published research.
