JSSCS ensures the highest standards of academic integrity and scholarly quality in the study of social structures and community dynamics.

1. Submission and Initial Evaluation

  • Scope: Sociology, Anthropology, Community Development, and Family Studies.

  • Plagiarism: Turnitin screening with a strict 15% threshold.

  • Formatting: Submissions must follow the JSSCS Author Guidelines, including declarations of ethics and conflict of interest.

  • Licensing: Distributed under CC BY-NC 4.0 for non-commercial social exchange.

2. Peer Review Policy

  • Double-Blind Review: Both author and reviewer identities are kept confidential to ensure fairness.

  • Ethical Review: Reviewers must declare any potential conflicts before evaluating community-based research.

3. Editorial Decision-Making

  • Decisions: Accept, Minor/Major Revision, or Reject based on theoretical contribution and ethnographic depth.

  • Appeals: Written appeals regarding rejections are evaluated by the Editor-in-Chief.

4. Ethical Standards

  • Social Ethics: Research involving vulnerable populations must be accompanied by ethical clearance and informed consent.
