Author Appeals Policy

JHBRR recognizes the importance of medical evidence and offers a transparent pathway for authors to contest decisions based on perceived scientific or procedural inaccuracies.

1. Grounds for Appeal

  • Misinterpretation of clinical data, statistical significance, or biomedical methodology.

  • Factual errors in reviewer comments that influenced the rejection.

  • Documented evidence of reviewer bias or undisclosed conflicts of interest.

2. Submission

  • Appeal must be submitted within 20 days, including specific citations of the reviewer comments and supporting medical data.

3. Review Process

  • Evaluation by the Editor-in-Chief.

  • Potential consultation with an independent clinical expert or a medical ethics advisor.

4. Timeline: Resolution typically within 4–8 weeks due to the need for rigorous scientific verification.
