AEPR enforces rigorous confidentiality standards to protect the integrity of econometric models and sensitive fiscal policy research.
1. Confidentiality of Manuscripts

For Editors: Manuscripts are treated as privileged materials. Editors must not disclose or use unpublished economic findings or datasets for personal or institutional gain.

For Reviewers: Manuscripts must be treated as confidential. Reviewers may not share data or discuss the manuscript's findings with unauthorized colleagues.

For Staff: Access is limited to authorized personnel using secure, audited systems.
2. Correspondence and Anonymity

Double-Blind Integrity: Reviewer identities are strictly confidential and are not disclosed to authors or external parties at any stage.

Communication Privacy: All correspondence between editors, authors, and reviewers regarding decision-making is private and privileged.
3. Data Protection and Breaches

File Handling: Sharing manuscript files outside the official editorial management system is prohibited without explicit authorization.

Breach Consequences: Any breach of confidentiality may result in removal from the editorial board or reviewer panel and notification of the individual's affiliated institution or professional ethics body.
