Author Appeals Policy
JM ensures that every wildlife and ecology manuscript is judged fairly. We provide this policy to address concerns regarding the interpretation of scientific and field data.
1. Grounds for Appeal
-
Misinterpretation of field methodology, species behavior data, or ecological modeling.
-
Factual errors in reviewer reports regarding conservation status or biological facts.
-
Evidence of reviewer bias or unreported conflicts of interest.
2. Submission
-
Appeals must be submitted within 20 days, including supporting evidence or corrected field data.
3. Review Process
-
The Editor-in-Chief evaluates the appeal and may invite an independent specialist in wildlife biology to provide a fresh perspective.
4. Resolution: Decisions may range from upholding the rejection to inviting a revised resubmission under a different review team.
