Author Appeals Policy
GPPAR maintains a transparent pathway for authors to contest decisions to ensure that public policy and governance research is evaluated objectively.
1. Grounds for Appeal
-
Misinterpretation of administrative frameworks, political theories, or policy data.
-
Factual errors in reviewer feedback regarding legislation or public affairs records.
-
Evidence of procedural failure or lack of neutrality in the peer review process.
2. Submission
-
Formal written appeal to the Editor-in-Chief within 20 calendar days of the decision.
3. Review Process
-
The Editor-in-Chief conducts a full review of the manuscript and reports.
-
A neutral editorial board member specializing in public affairs may be consulted for a final recommendation.
4. Limitations: Only one appeal per manuscript is permitted to preserve the efficiency of the editorial office.
