Editorial Process

At ELGI, we ensure a transparent and merit-based process for manuscripts exploring the intersection of policy, law, and economy.

1. Manuscript Submission Submissions are made via the official portal, adhering to ELGI’s specific legal and economic referencing styles.

2. Initial Screening and Plagiarism Check Screening confirms the manuscript fits the tripartite scope (Economics, Law, or Governance) and passes a plagiarism check (<15%).

3. Assignment to Section Editor Editors assess the work for analytical depth, theoretical contribution, and policy relevance.

4. Double-Blind Peer Review Two anonymous reviewers evaluate the research design, legal arguments, and economic modeling.

5. Reviewer Recommendations Standard outcomes: Accept, Minor/Major Revisions, or Reject.

6. Editorial Decision The Section Editor delivers a decision based on the coherence and impact of the research.

7. Author Revisions Authors must provide a detailed point-by-point response to the editorial and reviewer feedback.

8. Final Acceptance A formal acceptance is issued once all legal and economic scholarly standards are met.

9. Copyediting and Proofreading The manuscript is edited for clarity and consistency with professional governance literature.

10. Online Publication Finalized articles are published online, providing open access to policymakers and scholars.

11. Post-Publication Dissemination ELGI disseminates research through institutional networks, legal databases, and social media.
